All for 5 people maximum. 2 bedrooms, bathroom, living kitchen and a dedicated terrace. Should you want to visit in fall or winter: every apartment has it’s own wood stove.
Want to be closer to nature? Choose one of the tents. Also to be booked for 5 people max. 1 sleeping compartment with a queen-size bed, 1 compartment with a bunk (two beds) and possibility for an extra. Als living room, small kitchen and bath room. Probably the most important asset: the terraces with breathtaking views.

THE LIFE & AREA
Cascina Montebi is situated between Cremolino en Trisobbio, roughly an hours drive from Milan. On top of a hill. On a clear and hot day, one can see the sea. Not that important though, salt water can be found in the pool on the estate.
Why did Simone fall in love with this place?

From the cascina it’s a 25 minutes drive to the sea, 40 minutes drive to Genua and 65 to Milan. Acqui Terme is only 10 minutes by car. A beautiful city with lots of Italian life and restaurants. Cascina Montebi is an ideal place for both people looking for an active holiday or people who want to take a well deserved break. Wine tasting, golf courses, sailing courses, rafting or castle and city trips. It’s all there.
THE PEOPLE
Four years ago Simone Ambrosin and his family bought an old farm in the south of Piemonte, on the border of Liguria. Chasing their dream, creating a place were they can create their own atmosphere. Something Simone has already done in 2 Dutch restaurants, Segucho and Incanto. But the family wanted something else, something more.
They wanted to become perfect hosts without being in a hurry. Being able to take the time to select the best possible wines or even make their own. Use ingredients that grow around the corner, preparing the magnificent Fassone beef from the neighbour. Simone is a magician in the Italian kitchen, rewarded with the title ‘Best Italian restaurant’ in The Netherlands.
And let's not forget the kids and the dog.Together they make Cascina Montebi one of the most vibrant yet relaxed
places to be.
THE RESTAURANT
After a long day at the side of the river or shopping in Milan, Simone is happy to serve you some dishes made with wild herbs, home grown vegetables and most important: lots of passion. The menu changes every day, the suppliers don’t. Fresh veal from a local farmer and butcher and the best (organic) wines. Simone knows where to get his ingredients. The best part? He likes to share his knowledge and skills with his guests. Eat and learn.
The restaurant is open for everyone with an appetite. Whether you like to organize a huge private dinner or just an intimate diner-a-deux. At Montebi we make everything fresh, so please, take the time to make a reservation. You can call or e-mail us and we are happy to welcome you as our guest.
Cooking courses
As said Simone likes to share his knowledge and apparently guests seem to appreciate this. So we decided to organize cooking courses. Made to measure. Please let us know if you would like to learn from one of the best Italian chefs (who have lived in The Netherlands).
Custom cooking courses can be organized from 8 to 20 people, including 1 night at Montebi or a full weekend. Please drop us an e-mail when you are interested.
WINES
Oh my is he proud... When staying at Montebi, it is difficult not to taste the first wine ever to be made on Montebi soil.
Lunch, dinner or even during breakfast, chances are Simone will ask you to take a sip of his new born child. A child with an attitude. Mature despite 1 year of age, fruity yet not sweet, full of body. Is it the clay turf or the kids' enduring smiles that gave this wine it’s character? Should you be late for the first draft, keep an eye on the second.
Winter and spring
